It's been a while since we tried something special for dinner. We looked around, unsure where to go and remembered that there was a special place that serves BBQ YongTauFu. And off we went.
Upon reaching the place, we were greeted by the welcoming staff.
The mural on the wall serves as a throwback to the origin of the food, serving delicious Hakka yongtaufu on a tricycle. The tradition goes as far as 55 years back.
lol I remember using these mugs to brush my teeth when I was little. The size of these beverages are quite large, we would of ordered only 1 if we knew.
We were totally in awe when the food came. I ordered a meatlover set which is enough for 2-3 pax and thought that the portion could be insufficient. So I ordered more as shown below. The protein dishes were not too bad, the bacon was seasoned properly and the fish cake had this nice texture to it. The bacon wrapped asparagus was wonderful. The bacon was juicy and the asparagus was crispy. Pretty nice!
So I ordered 4 servings of fried "fuzhok". The skin was quite crispy but tasted decent.
Sweet sauce "cheecheongfun" & curry pig skin "chee cheong fun". The sweet sauce "cheecheongfun" was mehh, but the curry pig skin is very recommended! I guess we made the mistake of ordering the meatlover set instead of the couple combo which was the actual yongtaufu set.
The bill came in at RM59. Not too bad for the overall portion of the food. Very very filling.
